The Image is from the cover of The New Way: A Study in the Rise and Establishment of a Gnostic Society by Patrizia Norelli-Bachelet. It is the Image of the luminous core inside the chamber of the Mother’s Temple that was to be constructed in Auroville, India in the 70’s. This is a model of the chamber which was “constructed”* by Norelli-Bachelet in the process of writing The New Way. The Mother designed a Sacred Temple, The Matrimandir, in the years before her death, and the dimensions of her vision were never respected, and the Temple was built according to the aesthetic tastes and “minds of men”, sucking it of its Sacredness and Divinity and power as the “Symbol of the Future Realization.” For more information see www.matacom.com.
*PNB’s construction of the Mother’s Temple’s  was a yogic feat, not a physical construction. For more information on Patrizia Norelli-Bachelet see www.aeongroup.com.

Gnosis has little to do with some people attribute (perhaps erroneously) to Gnostic Christian conception of the body being a prison of the light, which must be transcended.
Gnosis is recognizing the individual body and collective body or Cosmos as a Temple of Light. Gnosis, in its true light is not a rejection of the Earthly body.
